Mr. Nolberto Parra

Inspired by a lifelong fascination with Japanese martial arts (Budo), I’m Norberto Parra, a bridge between cultures.

Originally from Venezuela, I’ve called Miami, Florida, USA home for the past 24 years. Fluent in Spanish and English, I’m currently expanding my horizons by learning Japanese. My passion lies in the rich history and traditions of Budo, and I frequently travel to Japan to immerse myself in this captivating world. My focus is on delving into the research of Koryu Bujutsu and Ninjutsu.

Dedication to Budo

My current training journey includes:

Student of Asayama Ichiden Ryu at the Honbu Dojo in Japan under the guidance of Seki Sensei. In September 2023, I was honored to receive permission from Seki Sensei to lead the MIAMI KEIKO KAI study group.
Student of Koka Banke Bujutsu under the esteemed Murata Shihan, a senior student of Kawakami Soke, the 21st head of the Koga Ban family and the last sōke of authentic ninjutsu and Bujutsu.
Black Belt holder in Shudokan Karate, having trained under the expertise of Tokuyama Hanshi.

Mentorship and Inspiration

My visits to Japan have been enriched by encounters with several remarkable individuals who have inspired and supported me:

Hiroshi Ikeda Sensei, a renowned expert in ninjalogy.
Masaki Ikebe Sensei, a true Ninjutsu master.
Yamashita Sensei, who introduced me to the Hokashi traditions.
Tate training and performance under the guidance of Kaho Nouchi Sensei.
